Onipa'a Story
Onipa'a was formed in 2020 by Keoki Cortez and Jerry "Kani" Gillgren. Having played together previously in the professional Hawaiian touring group Manaleo out of California since 2006, they formed the group "Onipa'a" in hopes of providing a Light Jazz style of Island music with a slight Latin flair. In early 2022, they brought on Phil Vasquez, a professional guitarist as lead guitar. Together, the members bring over 165 years of professional playing experience. Fans Island wide love the "feel good" music that the group creates.
